A wonderful day ahead of weather. At 9 o'clock already 13 degrees and at these latitudes early May is not easy at all! Even today a pretty group ready for the start. Along the way, the first rape fields in bloom. Always a show. It will be necessary to wait until at least until the end of May because the fields are colored by that intense and marvelously beautiful yellow. A short stroll near the Löberöd castle just to get a little legs off and then again on the road. The road that runs through Fulltofta, Södra Rörum, Funderset is very impressive and crosses large wooded areas, sometimes on dirt roads. We come to the Bosarpa lake in the small equipped area where we make a stop for the inevitable coffee and cake. The temperature has already risen to 21 degrees and it feels like having a nice bath in the calm waters of the lake. Continue heading north. Still great forests and magnificent scenery. We cross Toserbro and the bridge over the canal connecting the two Araslöv and Gummastorpa lakes. Magnificent typical wooden houses along its path. Still many miles to reach the lake Immeln where we still have a break to eat something. Lovely place and temperature over 24 degrees! It starts again through Vilshult and then comes near Ryd. One of the roads is closed to traffic and so I have to change the itinearry. This will lead us into the middle of the forest on dirt roads. Now you are driving to the eye on the Gps. Once we find the way out there is a gate to block the road! You could turn around with our GSs, but the big RT 1600 would have a hard time crossing a rather difficult stretch. You come back and after a good half an hour of wandering in the middle of the woods you find yourself at the starting point! Dust is everywhere! This time we follow the main road and finally after losing (in a very funny way) a good turn to the Bilkyrkogården near Ryd, that is, the car cemetery. The story behind this "amazing outdoor museum" is quite curious. Åke Danielsson, was a man born in 1900 who started working as a worker on a farm in southern Sweden. A hard work and seven days a week. Only in the 1930s Åke could finally return to Småland. Only after a few years he bought a piece of peat and a large mining machine. He would become the owner of a peat factory. The peat was very much apt as good fertilizer. But the competition was ruthless and having little money and the need for a bigger bigger car, Åke decided to build it alone using engines and pieces of old cars. It also built a house of 12 square meters. For insulation he used the peat of his soil. Many because of the crisis abandoned their cars in the woods and it is during this period that we begin to talk about this place. Demolition activity begins to swim with sails and the abandoned peat extraction activity. Soon Åke became an expert in car models and components, highly sought after by collectors. In addition, Åke was also aware of the environmental damage that this recycling could cause, so he began to empty cars from oils, batteries, and anything that could harm the environment. It can be said that it has been a pioneer in the field of recycling. Soon the "car cemetery" became more and more famous and so many became the visitors. In 1974 bought his last car accident and then ceased his business. At the end of the 1900s, not everyone appreciated this activity and so decided to remove all the cars from the swamp and carry them to a recycling site. Many furious people are outraged for the decision taken by Åke's great work, now in precarious health, to defend the environment. One of them was the former director of the museum in Vaxjo, Karl-Johan Krantz, who suggested that the whole area had to be protected and become a cultural reserve. The question went to the county council, but all the instances went against the hard line of the commune, that all cars should be removed. After various vicissitudes and contrasts, all carcasses of old cars could be left in that place as a kind of open-air museum. Today walking in this place is particularly striking. The contrast between the old and the beautiful vegetation make it a unique place. The ferns grow in the middle of the rusty sheets, the vegetation slowly takes over and the rays of the sun filtering through the trees give a touch of magic and tear at the same time. Go home. Let me do my Tom Tom with the function "winding roads" for the return. I still enjoy about fifty ch
