May 21, 2017 - 300 km of intense yellow! The rapeseed in bloom

Finally, the weather conditions are the ideal ones to be able to enjoy the best of the bike. Simply beautiful day, sun, blue sky, not even the shadow of a cloud and the great desire for motion as always! Today there will be so much off-road. We leave the city and just a few miles away because the predominant color everywhere you look is the intense yellow. It is the thrilling spectacle of blossoming rapeseed. Kilometers and miles of colt rape fields. The perfume is inebriating. Just open the visor to enjoy an inebriating, sweet, passionate smell. There are alternating ditches between the woods in full bloom and long trenches literally surrounded by rape. It would want to stop and continue to admire the extraordinary beauty of this spectacle of nature. After about sixty kilometers we stop in the middle of the Häckeberga nature reserve for the inevitable coffee and orange cake. Short stop also because we are literally assaulted by mosquitoes! It starts and is still magic. An explosion of colors is the cornerstone of the road we travel. Horses, cows, sheep grazing. At our passage, they get closer to being intrigued rather than escaping. We arrive at the small Svartskylle reserve for lunch breaks. Sitting comfortably in the equipped area, we enjoy the panorama of Lake Hassle, watching the unspoiled nature surrounding us while some hawks fly high above our heads in search of small prey. After lunch breaks off. We are in the Österlen area one of the most beautiful in the whole Skåne especially at this time. Between woods, infinite rape fields and long unpaved rafts we reach the Gyllebo nature reserve with its small lake. There are so many people bathing and I honestly do not tell you twice. Just the time to change to dive into the cool waters of the lake for nothing as cool as you might think. After a nice swim, there is nothing better than sitting in the sun with lake view and enjoying a good coffee with the moka and the last slice of cake! It starts and is still so dirty and so much rape. Amazing fields, wonderfully beautiful until you reach the sea in the small port of Kåseberga. We have a tadpole after such a long road and just so we can not miss anything we make out a sandwich with herring, onion, tomato, salad and a delicious salsetta! To complete all this, a nice jellyfish. You go back home and despite taking the main road is a continuous track of rape fields! Yellow, yellow and still yellow! When I arrived in Malmö I greeted my travel companions and went to Limhamn on the coast, precisely on the small island of which you are now connected to the land by the road. Take advantage of it to eat something at home and then take the bike and enjoy the unforgettable sunset show on the Danish coast and the Öresund bridge.
